Port Loko District Port Loko lies in the north west of Sierra Leone. It occupies a total space of 5,719 Km2 and comprises of ten chiefdoms. The district headquarter is Port Loko town. The main ethnic groups are Temne and Susu. Main economic activities include small scale mining and the production of food crops (rice, cassava and sweet potato in particular).
